Cats Do Dance

Shion was on her way to her club when the sound of soft music caught her attention. With her pink ears standing up, the cat girl followed the beautiful sounds to a room. Reading the sign on the door, Shion found herself at the dance club. But why would anyone be in there? Dance club was over. Naturally curious, Shion peeked through the window on the door to see a fellow cat girl inside. Glancing around the room, Shion saw she was alone so she slipped inside, doing her best not to mess up the other girl.

Dakota used her tail and sense of natural balance to keep on her feet as she worked on her dance routine. Something caught her attention and as she moved, looked over at the door to see a girl slip in to watch. Ignoring her, Dakota continued the dance. But she jumped when the girl began to clap when she finished. Flattening her ears in an embarrassment and smiling, Dakota thanked the girl. As the girl wondered over, Dakota began to pack her stuff. She knew that the club was over and didn't want to get in trouble for being in there.

“That was lovely.”

“Thank you. I've been working on it for a long time now.”

“You are really good. If it would not be much trouble I'd like to learn.”

Dakota stopped packing, “You want to learn? I thought you were going to turn me in since I shouldn't be in here after hours.”

“No. I heard the music and was fascinated by your dance. If you don't want to teach me I will take my leave.”

“I can teach you. I'm happy to hear you liked my dancing that much.” Dakota smiled.

Dakota and Shion introduced themselves then stood together in the middle of the room. Dakota slowly began to the dance, explaining or showing how each move is done. A shy smile touched Shion's lips as Dakota became more excited. And after a few times of running through the steps, they both brought the speed up to normal. Both moving together and matching the movements almost perfectly. By the time they finish, both were panting and smiling at each other. They both jumped when clapping and cheering was heard on the other side of the door. The window was filled with eyes while other's tried to push their way to peek in.

Both cats stared in shock. Neither one even noticed anyone at the door and now there was a whole group. Dakota became embarrassed again while Shion was just surprised. Not wanting to cause trouble or have the group attract unwanted attention, Dakota worked on collecting her stuff. Shion worked on cleaning the doorway so the girls could get out. Once both cats were ready they smiled at each other then went their own way with a pack to meet up again tomorrow.
