With the Foundation day so close, the school was busy with the last of the cleaning and decorating. Marissa hated cleaning but she rather clean then keep helping with food. The messes she kept making was no fun to the fox. This kind of cooking was so much harder than the food her mother and the others made. Sighing, the girl dropped her mop back into her bucket of soapy water then begin mopping the rest of the hall. She also had to admit being away from Seth was pretty much the only up side to mopping the school. She'd have to listen to him laugh about the cake or complain about the work he had to do. Marissa grinned as she pictured the cat slipping on the wet floor. Then she would no longer be the joke of the school. But she knew that wouldn't happen so she kept pushing around her mop.

Marissa was getting close to be done with the mop and bucket when talking caught her attention. She looked around but saw no one around. She growled at herself. Now the walls were talking to her. She leaned against her mop as she pushed the bucket around the last corner. The fox froze. Sachi was leaning against the wall staring at a tiny picture in her hand. The sadden look she wore told Marissa it had to be of someone very important to her. The girl's lips started moving as she talked in a whisper. That's when Marissa realized it was Sachi she heard talking. The fox really wanted to know what was going on but feared scaring the girl into silence. Since she had not been seen, Marissa stood silently as she hoped to catch anything the other girl was saying.

The words bother and come home were pretty much all the fox could hear no matter how hard she listened for the rest. Sachi then looked up and smiled at Marissa before walking off to finish her own work. Sachi had a brother. Has a brother. She'd never said anything about siblings. The fox was actually really sure the girl was an only child. Of course the fox didn't plan on telling anyone but it was still really shocking. Sachi is so quiet and to herself that it would be a shock to learn pretty much anything about her. Shaking off her shock, Marissa got back to finishing the hall. It was all she had left of mopping and wanted it done so she could give her hands a rest.

Back in her dorm, the fox laid on her bed. She was happy her roommate was out doing stuff, giving the girl the room to herself to think. She wanted to know more about Sachi and her brother but how to even bring it up. It's not the girl openly told Marissa and the fox didn't want anyone thinking she went around eves dropping. She was not like that. She just happen to over hear as she worked. The fox let out a heavy sigh. This was so much harder than she thought it would be. Maybe she just forget about it and act like she heard nothing at all. That would be the smart thing to do, right? Can't be that hard to just forget something you were not suppose to hear anyway. But the more she tried to forget the more she thought about it. Marissa let out another heavy sigh. So much for this being easy. And so Marissa spent the rest of her free time trying to stop thinking about the one thing she wanted to think about.

Oh my goshy! This is such a good story. It was funny when Marissa thought the wall's were talking to her xD
Sachi will one day open up and talk about her family and situation... But I'm lazy so it'll have to wait. ;p
